From Start up to Scalable Business. The path of Kathmandu Podway from the first anchor supports to the first commercial projects

Idea was born
The idea behind Kathmandu Podway began to take shape in 2019. After a year of research and on-ground analysis, a group of forward-thinking Nepali entrepreneurs came together in 2020 with a shared vision: to introduce an organized, safe, clean, and cost-effective mode of transportation for people and goods across Nepal.

Kathmandu Podway Company Pvt. Ltd. was born
After a year of thorough analysis and initial field efforts, we established Kathmandu Podway Company Pvt. Ltd. Our research identified UST Group’s transport technology as the most viable and forward-looking solution for addressing Nepal's transport infrastructure gaps.
Signing strategic partnership with UST
The year 2020 marked a key milestone—we entered into an agreement with the Belarusian group Unitsky String Technologies, gaining the exclusive right to represent their UST transport system in Nepal.

Government recognition of Podway
Despite years of bureaucratic obstacles, pandemic disruptions, and unstable leadership—with five different governments in four years—we managed to gain official recognition for Podway as a new and alternative transport system in Nepal

Infrastructure summit 2024.
In 2024, we reached a major milestone by participating in the Infrastructure Summit 2024, where we proudly presented our transport solutions. This event marked our first appearance on an international stage and opened new doors for growth and collaboration.
First Contract
Milestone in history of Kathmmandu Podway Company Pvt. Ltd. At the Koshi Investment Summit 2025, organized by the Government of Koshi Province, various infrastructure initiatives were presented—including three of our own projects. It was a great honor for our team to take part in this historic event. First Project in Biratnagar was signed.
