Implemented Configurations of Rail Electric Vehicles

Kathmandu Podway has developed a comprehensive set of standardized, certified structural and technological solutions for creating advanced transport complexes. These solutions are designed to address a wide range of passenger and cargo transportation needs, with configurations tailored to customer requirements and climatic conditions.

Passenger Podcars, including train formations, can accommodate varying capacities—from 2 to 250 passengers per unit. When organized into small trains, these systems can transport up to 50,000 passengers per hour. Cargo systems are equally robust, capable of handling up to 100 million tons annually.

The modular design allows individual units to be coupled into trains using rigid or electronic couplers, with the number of sections and capacities adjusted based on expected demand. Electric traction drives power the vehicles, while an automated control system ensures precise speed and route management, enabling speeds of up to 150 km/h.

Kathmandu Podway systems are versatile, supporting the transport of various cargo types, including bulk, liquid, breakbulk, special materials, and 20- to 40-foot sea containers. Loading and unloading processes are fully automated, ensuring efficiency and reliability.

uBike U4-621

Double-rail suspended passenger uPod of small capacity. In the basic configuration, the seats are located sequentially providing zoning of seats and an increased comfort. The optimal weight of uBike allows to use it on a lightweight track structure, that makes it possible to use this transport as part of complexes with a minimum material consumption of the structure. uBike can be used for transportation in recreation areas, on tourist and other routes. In addition to on-board (and external) energy sources, it is possible to install a bicycle generator, thanks to which uBike can be driven by the passengers’ muscular power.

uTruck U4-131

Double-rail suspended cargo uPod intended for transportation of bulk, piece, liquid, dangerous and perishable cargo. Loading and unloading of uTruck can be prformed automatically. The rail electric vehicle is designed for use in industrial facilities, ports and mining sites.
