Kathmandu — As the Kathmandu Podway project gathers momentum, local residents have voiced both enthusiasm and concern about the futuristic transport system.
“We're excited to see something new that might finally reduce traffic,” said Rachana Maharjan, a commuter from Baneshwor. “But we want transparency about ticket prices and construction impacts.”
Some worry about land acquisition and whether the pods will be affordable for daily use. However, city planners assure that the project will prioritize affordability and accessibility.
“We want this system to work for everyone—from students to senior citizens,” said urban mobility expert Ravi Ghimire.
